So with Funcom not letting me use my mouse buttons (yes, it's that big of a deal, lol) I was thinking... Why can't I just replace each skill on my action bar with a macro that executes that skill and it's related combo follow-up?
So intead of having to click Swift blades, and then click Attack Upper Right (which is the normal attack that finishes the swift blades combo), why I can;t I just macro the icon to something like:
"click swift blades":
/cast swift blades
/cast upper right
That should cut down on the amount of descrete commands I need to have remapped to keys close to my fingers.

If you see anything like this on the forums Sin let me know.

Will do. You should check into either a Logitech G15 keyboard or something similar to a Saitek P990 game controller. I've seen threads about people using both of those to macro.
Since this game is "made for windows", it should have xbox 360 controller support built-in. I'm gonna give that a shot and if I'm not crazy about it, pick up a G15.

btw, sorry to change the subject, but I can't believe they've already nerfed the demo class. they added a cool-down to the one spell had makes it possible to take on multi-mobs in the lower levels. fuckers. i'm probably going to change classes.

Lol, that didn't take long.
I have a G15 Sin.. The macro keys are to far away to be useful. Most MMOs let you configure macros strait from the console. Hopefully AoC won't be any different.

here's a post from the forums that may be useful:
If yall are using a logitech mouse get a mod for setpoint called uberoptions. It allowed me to turn most of the extra keys on my MX revolution to keybinds. so I have alot of my often used combos on it.

Hmmm, I wonder what exactly he means..? With the setpoint software you can map and mouse function to a key. That's not the problem. Problem is that any changes you make with setpoint is general to windows. So if I remap my mouse wheel I'm screwed once I'm out of AoC. Wolf mentioned his Razor lets him set different profiles. That at least is a slightly better option as I can switch to my "AoC" profile when in game, then the default when out (or playing anything else). Still seems a cumbersome way of handling what should be accounted for in game.
Thanks for the heads up.. I'm gonna see if I can check out Uberoptions from behind the work firewall.

really? I'll need to doublecheck mine when I get home.
3.0 is pretty old. Maybe they removed it. Lol. I posted on the logitech site. I'll see what they have to say.

I'm going to try this out on my n52 and see if it flies
I use a Nostromo n52 key pad. If you don't know what that is here's a link.
http://www.belkin.com/pressroom/rele...4_07n52te.html
It's perfect! I have the 3 of the directions on the d-pad mapped to my swings. The 4th (bottom) mapped to my favorite combo (pillar of flames). WSAD as normal. I used the n52 software to re-map F,R,Z,CAPS to number keys for other combos. And I used a macro to assign Q & E to ALT-8 and 9 which allows a couple more hotbar actions bound to those.
The space bar (where your thumb rests) is ALT (toggle) to quickly switch between action bars. The thumb button above the d-pad is Hellfire Breath. I also have Word of Command mapped to my 4th mouse button (used for quick get-a-ways hehe).
I still have my regular keyboard within easy reach when I need it. Once you get used to it, you can move, combo, block & run smooth as silk AND it's extremely comfortable. Honestly guys, this thing rocks - it's the best investment I've ever made!! (actually I'm giving away a trade secret here - I should learn to keep my mouth shut - just don't tell the Assasins :-)....

IF someone figures this out for the G15 keyboard, or razor mice let me know. I'd love 1 button push for those combos.

you really wouldn't. Thre more I play (specially PvP) the more it becomes apparent that having something autoclick for you would be a bug detriment. Unless the person your attacking is terribad they will be moving around which makes timing your combos important. A lot of times I'll start a combo out of range, then when I get to the last action in the combo (the one the does the real damage) I'll run in and finish off the combo. Keeps me out of range when my damage is low, and in for the big hits. An "auto-comboer" would get you crushed in PvP.
...... it would be effing neet for PvE though. Using Autohotkey should do the trick.
