Sticking the server rules here until we can get the page added into the new site:

TLB Game Server Rules

Game Priority
All [TLB] members will be afforded priority status over the public players.
If the server is full it may become necessary to remove a member of the public to make room for TLB members.
To avoid this happening we suggest you join our clan.
Hint: we usually kick people with stupid names like "player" or "." or "child molester" first.

Game Start Time
We may set the game start time to a high time period to allow slower loading players the opportunity to be in when the game starts. It's also great if you need a fresh beer or a pee.

Axis or Allies
We may ask you to move to the other side to balance the teams, we do this to make it a better game so please help by moving if you see the game unbalanced or are asked.

Base camping
We know it when we see it, you will be kicked for any excessive spawn camping in the oppositions uncapturable base.
Loitering with the intent of just blowing stuff up will also get you kicked.

See Definitions (in reply below)

Miss-Use of Console Commands
Anyone found to be abusing the Console Commands in any way will be kicked from the game without explanation. I'd just ban your ass, but the rest of the clan are more tolerant than me.

In Appropriate Language or Abusive Behavior
Will not be tolerated.
Members have complete discretion as to whether they deem the language sufficient to warrant a straight kick and/or ban from the server.
Be nice and we'll let you hang around for another map.

No Flaming or Trash Talk
We are here to play the game and have fun, if you use the in-game chat as your personal chat room or a place to let the world know that you are educated in potty mouth, you will get kicked.
DO not make inflammatory remarks.

Third Party Add-on's / Cheats
Add-on's are banned.
Using game cheats or achieving super human skills using exploits is just not nice, so you'll get the boot.

TK'ing / Destroying Team Assets / General disruption.
No excuse, you will be instantly banned.
This rule has an extremely low tolerance level, don't do it, don't even think about doing it or we'll not just ban you but your whole family, and your friends, and everyone in the town you live in.

These are all common sense things, we have a very varied and mixed clan but the one thing we do agree on is that we all just want to play the damn game idiot free.
We keep the server public in the hope we find good people who will help further our clan and enhance our games, we don't need or want you if you are an assclown and suggest you go find somewhere else where you can act your shoe size.

Think about it:
We pay almost $800 a month in costs for our dedicated game server which runs our 5 BF servers, we don't pay that to have you play like an idiot for free on our servers and spoil the fun for our clan and our guests. Any form of stupidity will get you kicked or banned real fast.

If you are unsure, ask a TLB member. We'll be happy to help you out.

Base Camping Definitions

Killing the enemy (or loitering and blowing up assets) from within their uncapturable base with no obvious intent of leaving the base. That is, you are there to rack up kills or create havoc in the enemy base.

Base camping does not include:

Ship guns or arty firing into the base from outside the base.
Snipers firing into the base from a distance.
Stealing a vehicle from the base.
A jeep driving through looking for something to steal. If the jeep runs you over as it drives through, that is not base camping.
A stolen tank looking back and firing at you while it leaves the base, is not base camping. It is leaving.
A plane strafing down your plane on the runway is not base camping.
HOWEVER, If the enemy pilot REPEATEDLY does this and lets no one get airborne, that is base camping. We must assume two things.

He is a very good pilot.
Your team is pretty bad if they can't figure out how to shoot him down. In this case we ask him to ease up on it.
If he persists, he may be kicked at admin discretion.
An enemy infantry shooting/nading you as he is attempting to steal a tank or plane from your base. If he kills you, takes the tank, and then leaves; That is being pwned, not camping. If he was heading for a tank and you beat him to it by a half second and then he drops a mine under you, also not basecamping. That is a skirmish.
Overall it is about sportsmanship, and keeping it fun to play.

There is a legitimate reason to be in the enemy base, and that is to steal something from the opposition, and then get out quickly. Otherwise there is rarely a reason to be in the enemy base. You can go in by jeep or on foot, but tanks should never go to an enemy base. If you get into a skirmish while on your way to to steal something, that is legit. Just get what you came for and get out as fast as possible.

As a general rule: If your team holds all the flags or is generally dominating the match, be sporting and stay out of the enemy base altogether. Stealing stuff is a tactic best reserved for the team getting stomped on. Not the stompers. Besides, going into the enemy base when your team is dominating makes you look exactly like a base camper, and you just might get kicked from the game.

Base camping examples: All taking place within an uncapturable base. (Not all inclusive)

Bringing a tank to the enemy's uncapturable flag. There's no reason to do this. Never bring a tank into an enemy base. Go defend your flag.
Stealing a tank from the enemy base, but not leaving with it immediately. If you clear a path on your way out that's ok. But keep moving or risk being kicked.
Ex-packing spawn points within the base. (Think Kursk)
Dropping mines in paths/roads within a base or booby trapping vehicles within a base.
Nading spawn points in a base.
Laying in wait. For example: Hiding behind a tank spawn with your bazooka just waiting for someone to hop in the tank so you can blast it.
Taking up a position in the AA in the enemy base.
Simply going into the base with your assault weapon and fragging away.
Special Situational Notes:

Arty firing from an uncapturable base: An engy or AT going into the base to blow up the arty that is firing away on your position is allowable. Or even a tank firing into the base to hit the arty is allowable. Think of either team on Battleaxe, and Axis on Battle of the Bulge. The arty cannot use the refuge of the base rule to create a safe zone for itself. However, on Battleaxe, if all flags are held by your team do not use the excuse of this exception to go into the enemy base. It will have the appearance of base camping.
Ships: Ships are uncapturable spawn points as well. They can't be stolen or captured and they are spawn points. Killing the enemy as they spawn on a ship IS spawn camping, and should be dealt with in the same manner as base camping.
Market Garden: An unbalanced map in favour of the Allies: The uncapturable point is the Allied airfield. If an Axis player manages to steal a plane and then uses that plane to keep the rest of the Allied planes grounded, that is a reasonable tactic, given the Axis disadvantage on this map. Tanks on the runway however are not allowed. Same as Allied tanks are not allowed into the Axis uncapturable. Allied planes can and do make repeated passes over the Axis uncapturable base.
Battle of Britain: This is an objective based map: Because the objective is within an uncapturable point the base camping rule is null and void. Allied planes trying to stop the Axis from getting to their objective are just playing smart. The axis have plenty of AA in their base to address enemy planes. In public play, Axis have the advantage on this map.
Beach flags on Iwo Jima and Omaha Beach: Neither of these are capturable flags for the Axis teams. But they are capturable for the Allies: Trying to keep them from being taken is legit. Though, on Omaha it is sporting to let the Allies take the beach flag.
