I got this email from the Bitfilm festival in Germany. I entered my movie The River into the festival a while back and just heard now that it's been chosen to compete. The winner gets a cool 1500 Euro, not bad in Canadian dough.
If you want to watch The River you can d/l it here (http://battlefield2.filefront.com/file/The_River;32939#Rate)
Hello Ian Kristensen,
thanks for submitting "The River" to the Bitfilm Festival.
As you know, we have selected it for this year's competition. If you
like, you can put this little icon on your homepage:
(icon removed)
and link it to our website.
In some weeks the website will be updated with all relevant information
on your work. So please check if all the credits and texts you have put
into our database are correct:
Of course you will get one or more free accreditations for the Bitfilm
Festival. Unfortunately we do not have the budget to invite you, but if
you want to come to Hamburg on your own we will do our best to help you
find an accommodation that suits you.
Please contact Lisa if you need help.
Best regards
The Bitfilm team

Thanks guys, the winner is chosen by the audience in this one too, so you never know. If they all like the humor and music I may stand a chance.

:stupid:
I concur whole heartedly
the only possible recourse is to throw our own festival
We'll need to come up with an award
and Pappy start working on your acceptance speech
You know something like --- "you love me you really love me" (sorry Sally)

Still think if it wasn't for me and Rackam, you'd still be there trying to get Poe to quit killing everybody. I mean come on you know he had to count way past three to remember to be just dead enough to make the scene work. Not to mention Killer asking for a fluffer to the PT boat after very scene.

it would have helped more if i new what the number 5 looked like i didnt have the pleasure of having big bird hold the number up in front of me every time i had to unload my pistol,or the Count count it out in moser langauge.

It was a lot of work at times no doubt, lol. Our own festival eh? Maybe we should, lol, but we need sponsors.
