My antivirus has just defined, "PWS.Hooker Trojan" exists in the file C:\Program Files\teamspeak2_RC2\KeyPress.dll. Anybody have the same 'problem' or can give me the 411 on this issue

Stormy

KeyPress.dll is a required file for TS. The trojan's info can be found here:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/pws.hooker.trojan.html

I'd follow the removal instructions, then if TS is screwed, reinstall TS.

My virus scanner detected and deleted the file. when I started up TS it warns me that the file is missing. Just click ok. I have yet to have a problem with TS since and all my key commands work fine.

Yep, false positive by McAfee or Norton.

First step should be to uninstall McAfee or Norton. Neither are a good AV.

I've been on a tour of AV products lately. A great one for gamers is NOD32. Very light on system resources and fast.

Trend Internet Security is very polished and great for some people.

Panda Titanium was a disaster for me. Screwed up my Internet connection.

AVG free is clunky, but works

Avast free is better, but won't delete infected emails without your input. Have to buy the Pro version for that.

The supposed best is Kaspersky Pro, but it costs twice as much as the others ($80 for 1 year vs. $40)

I think I'll be buying a licence for NOD32. I use Trend for friends and clients as a good set-and-forget solution.
